Getting a job or promotion in Canada can be challenging, especially in this age of perpetual learning. No matter what your area of expertise is, there are free education sources online that will allow you to improve upon it.

We can all improve our typing speed. Typing lessons & tests can be found at Typing Web and Good Typing.

Brush up on your numbers with Bean Counter’s free Accounting & Bookkeeping tutorial site.

You’ll find 750 free courses at the Goodwill Community Foundation

Open Culture has hundreds of courses, eBooks, text books, language lessons and more, all free.

There are over 300 free, interactive courses in Computers, IT Literacy, Languages, Health & Safety, and Liberal Arts & Sciences available from Alison.

Go to Yale for free? Yes you can! Yale University has open courses available.

MIT has over 2000 free online courses available to all.

Stanford University offers free courses via iTunes U.

If you want to learn more about online business and related topics, either to modernize your knowledge or to start your own company, there is plenty of information to guide you. It isn’t all in the form of courses, but put it all together and you’ll learn just as much. I don’t know where to start! I just started looking for free courses so I can change jobs and maybe make more money but I’m surprised to see there’s so many and the quality of them is off the charts.
